On October 15th, Canyon View's creative writing class had the incredible honor of hosting the award-winning author, Elaine B. Vickers! She captivated the creative writing class with her remarkable life story and the inspiration behind her compelling narratives. Elaine shared her unique process of transforming real-life experiences into unforgettable characters, and it was nothing short of mesmerizing. Especially her book Fadeaway, which is what the class was reading. Her powerful insights on themes like addiction and self-worth left us feeling empowered, reminding us that everyone is enough just as they are.
