The CVHS Book Club is currently reading a historical fiction novel called “I Must Betray You”
by Ruta Sepetys. The story is about a Teenage boy living Romainia in 1989. The country is ruled
by fear and dictatorship. When he gets caught doing something the government outlawed, He is
recruited to be an informant.

The Book Club will discuss this book during the 2nd session of flex on
Febuary 27th. Anyone interested is welcome to participate.
Kelli Crockett, the librarian, along with Sarah Sommers, president of the Book club,
chose this book because It is a Beehive Nominee Book, and students may vote on it. It is
written by Mrs.Crockett's favorite author, and the Club has not yet read this genre.
After the book discussion on the 27th, the club will participate in a “Blind Date with a
Book” activity. Instead of everyone reading the same book, members will choose from multiple,
different books that are wrapped. The only information that will be given is the book's genre,
topics covered in the book, number of pages, publication date and , how many stars given on
goodreads. Mrs. Crocket added, "The activity will also include a quote from a review done on
the book.”
Refreshments will also be provided.
