CVHS Girls Basketball faces Summit Academy tomorrow morning where they will battle for fifth place in the 3A Girls' Basketball Division. The Falcons went into the consolation bracket following a loss to the Richfield Wildcats, 23-44. However, Friday morning, February 23rd, the Falcons "tipped off" against Juab and swatted the Wasps by 12.
Top scorers against Juab were Maylee Spencer with 10, Maya Nichols with 8 and Kamryn Brush, and Brook Davie each with 6. Head Coach, Jaycee Barnhurst responded to the team's win with words of enthusiasm, " Today's game was a hard-fought team win. The girls worked their hearts out together and were successful. They bounced back from the loss yesterday and showed that we are a top team in the state with an opportunity to play for the 5th spot tomorrow morning. Today's game can be wrapped up into three words- composure, heart, and motivation."

In the battle against the Wildcats, top scorers were as follows: Maylee Spencer and Bethanee Vargas contributed the most points for the falcons with 8 points from Maylee and 4 points from Bethanee. Macey Sorenson, Kambree Potter, Emery Miles, Brooklyn Davie, and Kamryn Brush each scored 2 points, and Jordan Davenport scored 1 point.
For the Wildcats, Hallie Janes, and Brielle Jolley scored the most with 21 points from Hallie, and 10 points from Brielle. Abbee Albrecht scored 6 points, Kamryn Knutson scored 4 points, and Sarah Winters scored 3 points, securing the win for the Wildcats.
