Swim Dominates

-Brenna Haley, Sports Editor

The swim team got first place against Juan Diego, on Friday. Along with countless personal bests from both the girls team and the boys team.

Swimming is a constant battle against your mind, body, and water. And CVHS swim team did two swim meets over this weekend. One meet was at Juan Diego, and the other at Murray. Meaning most people on the team swam 8 events, four relays and four individual events this weekend.

On Saturday, the team went to Murray’s pool, and it was there team's senior night. The seniors also got some recognition. Leaving a perfect end to the weekend.

Kirt Brown who is the head coach of the swim team said, “Every year towards the end of the season we have a great opportunity too have a weekend that we can accomplish two meets, this weekend is preparation for region and state championships, where we also have days packed with events.'' Not only was this weekend fun for the team, it was essential for the important meets coming up.

This is just the start for the swim team with four meets still left in the season. Great things are coming for the CVHS swim team.
