Falcons Dominate Wildcats

On January 9, 2024, the Canyon View Falcons (11-5) finished off their game against the Richfield Wildcats (10-6) with a score of 65-49. The victory was fueled by Felps Sanders who scored 31 points, 12 of the 31 came from 3-pointers. Jace Farrow made a significant contribution to the win with 15 points and one 3-pointer, and Carson Miles scored 12 points and two 3-pointers. The win would not have been secured without the help of Seth Morris, Asher Slack, and Scotty Irons. 

The Richfield Wildcats fought well, with their players' scores being more evenly distributed. The Wildcats star player, Cort Moon, scored 9 points, followed by Hudson Spell and Jorgen Southwick, who scored 8 and 7 points for their team. Nate Young and Malik Fautin both scored 6 points. Gage Yardley and Griffin Wayman both scored 5 points with one 3-pointer each, and Miles Barnett scored 3 points with one three pointer. At the end of the game, the Wildcats could not manage to come back and beat the Falcons.

By the end of the first quarter, the Falcons had the lead with a score of 15-9. In the second quarter, the Falcons added 18 points to their score, while the Wildcats added 13 points. Quarter 3 was much closer than the first and second quarter. The Falcons gained 17 points and the Wildcats added 15. Quarter 4 ended with the Falcons gaining another 15 points, while the Wildcats only added 12, finishing off the game with the final score of 65-49.
