Five years ago Creative Writing was tragically taken away from CVHS. This year it reappeared as an alternative for 12th grade English. The class is a great opportunity for writers to accomplish finding a voice in their writing. Creative Writing is a great way for students to learn story writing, self expression, and to learn writing techniques. Mrs. Rigby, is the teacher and mentor of the only Creative Writing class in CVHS. Mrs.Rigby commented, "The class focuses on one form of creative writing each quarter. These areas include: memoir writing, fiction, writing, journalism, and poetry." Students are able to make friends, and there are many people in our school who like writing.

Students in the class are able to convey opinions including their opinions about the class itself. Emilee Winters, a student in the class says,  “I love this class, it’s so entertaining and very chill. My classmates and just the overall class are super fun.” However the class isn’t perfect. Others within the class feel differently. Another student, Grayson Milne stated, “ I Wish I had more time to write creatively instead of journalism though."
