One Small Step an Even Bigger Takeoff: Falcons Aiming for the Future

On August 20th, something happened that could change the future. You might be wondering, what happened on that day? Well, it was the big board meeting. I know, it sounds like a snooze fest, but it was actually my first board meeting, and it was really interesting. If you’ve never been to one, let me paint a picture: it’s like a court for people’s opinions about our school district. When people share their opinions, they get super passionate, which makes for great arguments and an even better show. But that wasn’t the most important part. The part that really mattered was seeing people from our own school—principals, coaches, teachers, students, and even a bus driver—stand up for why the weight room is so important for our school and our community. Even though we may not love school all the time, you can’t help but love the community in our school. Working together to get that small victory is just a small step toward getting our school to the place we really want it to be.
