Throughout our time at Canyon View we’ve all wondered at some point or another, "Why don’t we have vending machines?" If you haven’t, you should be wondering now. They could be beneficial to making the school more money while making the students and faculty have better attitudes. But have we really looked at the downsides as well? Today, we’ll be looking at both of these sides and trying to figure out. Would it be beneficial to add vending machines to Canyon View High School?

First let's look at the disadvantages of having vending machines. First, one of the biggest drawbacks is that most all the food would be unhealthy. And having kids eat more unhealthy would most likely result in being less physically healthy. Which could in turn affect the person in the future.
Another thing would be the cost of the vending machines. The cost could be anywhere from 200-3,000 dollars for one vending machine. Thats isn’t even including shipping, set up, and repairs. This would be a big cost for the school. And the fact is they might not be making enough money for the investment to be worth it. With KB up the road only a 5 minute walk why would students want a vending machine when they have easy access to a gas station only a short distance away?
