On Thursday, January 25th, FFA (Future Farmers of America) members from across southern Utah gathered for their region competition. 9 teams gathered at Crimson Cliffs high school, including Canyon View. 6 students received their State Degrees.
Maya Headlee, who was attending a competition for the first time, took third place in Extemporaneous (Ext) speaking with a speech on global food supplies and stability. Ashlyn Orton, CV club president, won second place.
In the Extemporaneous speaking competition, participants randomly draw topics, then have 30 minutes to prepare their speech.

Maddy Bird, who was also attending region for the first time, finished in the top half of the Job Skills competition. Rand Neilson won the Creed Competition, and will attend the FFA state competition in March.
