Wrestling Senior Night

January 18, 2024 was wrestling's infamous senior night. The night was exciting with lots of lights and even a fog machine.  

Kristie Jensen and Marley Cast, both beloved seniors of the girls wrestling team, won their matches from forfeit against Cedar. All of their coaches spoke very highly of these wrestlers and their amazing accomplishments.  

Dylan Peraza, a senior wrestler that started just this year, says that his favorite part of wrestling is, “the difference from all the other sports I’ve played, and the amazing friends I’ve made on the team.”

It’s no joke that wrestling is difficult and Jack Cavalieri, Marc Richardson, and Luke Langston have been wrestling for CVHS for 4 years. Despite how hard this sport is, Luke speaks highly of his wrestling experience. 

The wrestling program at Canyon View High School is all thanks to the amazing coaches, parents, and students that keep it going. Kristie Jensen says she loves the team and the sport is real fun.

ntation of what the team and sport is really about. Before you knew it both girls and boys took the win, leaving the perfect end to the night.
